Johannesburg, 24 April: Econet Media has signed a multi-territory broadcast agreement with TURNER which includes some of its most acclaimed kids and news channels. This agreement is significant as it adds some of the world’s most loved broadcast brands to Kwesé TV’s diverse content offering which is premised on delivering premium programming for the whole family. The deal will see the African broadcaster debut news channel CNN International and adds the much-loved Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels to its kids and family oriented programming portfolio starting May 3rd.

Nairobi, 12 April 2017 – Industry leader Safaricom has signed a distribution agreement with Econet Media’s Kwesé TV, Africa's newest multi-platform Pay TV network, to deliver premium video content to Kenyan consumers.

Kenyan consumers have been early adopters when it comes to digital content, and Safaricom has consistently led the charge in the communications industry with innovative products and services. The announced partnership with Kwesé TV extends Safaricom’s digital services offered to its subscribers.

Kwesé’s TV content showcases some of the best in Sports and Entertainment, including exclusives like NBA basketball, Revolt TV and VICELAND, as well as live coverage of English Premier League and Brazilian football matches, as well as lifestyle and music shows.           

Leveraging Safaricom’s superfast 4G network, subscribers will be able to stream Kwesé’s world-class programming on their connected devices through innovative data bundles, which will be available to Safaricom customers.

Tigo, one of Ghana’s leading telecom companies, has partnered with Econet Media’s Kwesé TV, Africa's newest multi-platform Pay TV network, to deliver best-in-class live sports and entertainment to Ghanaian consumers on mobile.  

Tigo subscribers will be able to experience Kwesé TV’s premium content delivered seamlessly on their mobile phones and tablets. Customers will have access to English Premier League games, NBA basketball matches, athletics, and a range of local and international entertainment content, including the popular Revolt music channel, exclusive to Kwesé.

MTN, Ghana’s leading telecommunications service provider, has partnered with Econet Media’s Kwese TV, Africa's newest multi-platform Pay TV network, to deliver world-class video content to Ghanaian consumers.

Leveraging MTN’s superfast 4G LTE network, subscribers will be able to experience Kwesé TV’s premium entertainment and sports content seamlessly on their mobile devices, taking TV beyond the traditional model to an even wider audience. MTN Ghana subscribers will be able to stream Kwesé TV programming including live action from the NBA, English Premier League, Brazilian soccer and other sports leagues, as well as first-to-market entertainment programming from the likes of Revolt and VICELAND available exclusively on Kwesé TV.
